Stadler is since more than 10 years present on the Norwegian market through the delivery of railway and light rail vehicles. Our local company Stadler Service Norway AS was formed in 2017 and has since then grown to an organization with today ca 100 employees that are distributed to 3 main service points in Norway. Our employees assure that Stadler trains, light rail vehicles and locomotives are maintained and ready for daily operation across Norway.

Your tasks

  • Lead and develop Stadler's service activities in the Norwegian market
  • Be the Stadler Rail Service interface to local customers, authorities and suppliers
  • Take a direct lead in everyday business
  • Actively support our Norwegian projects and future locations with advice and guidance in strategic and everyday queries and promote the exchange of information with other service locations in Scandinavia and worldwide
  • Implement innovative services and new service solutions
  • Contribute actively to, and comply with the guidelines regarding safety, quality and profitability of our activities in Norway
  • Report to head office on KPI for country responsibility
  • Oversee hiring and training of staff in a particular region. Be involved in staff selection, training development, scheduling and ongoing professional development of employees
  • Position reports directly to the Head of Stadler Rail Service Region Nordic

Your profile

  • Higher education in industrial engineering, business administration or equivalent technical education with leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in rail vehicle industry or maintenance preferred
  • Good organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven experience in leadership and contract management
  • Independent, structured working method and able to successfully negotiate and align with customers, suppliers and peers within the Stadler Rail Group
  • Team player with positive attitude, high motivation and willingness to learn
  • Presentation, analytical and planning skills are essential
  • Above-average people management and customer service skills
  • Regional expertise. Possess an understanding of country's local politics, industry and society
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) and Norwegian. Language skills in German are a plus
