Your tasks

The Contract Manager is responsible for the application, controlling and update of all contracts within a large complex project.

As a Contract Manager, you have the following accountabilities and mandates:

  • Takes ownership of all project contracts and knows them in detail
  • Analyzes possible changes and helps in quoting changes
  • Helps Project Management understand and interpret the contracts correctly as well as to identify inherent risks
  • Supports in negotiations with customer and suppliers
  • Proactively challenges the core team when deliverables are at risk (e.g. delays against contract, contractual breach etc.)
  • Acts as the single point of contact to the legal function of the company
  • Represents the Legal function in the Project Core Team and should also work in close cooperation with the other Project Core Team members to ensure full coordination
  • Rough understanding of railway or other large industrial projects considered an asset

Your profile

  • Higher education with a legal or commercial background or significant experience in Contract Management
  • Experience in complex industrial projects, ideally within the railway industry
  • Business-Fluency in English mandatory, additional languages, particularly Swedish and German are an asset
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit and a drive for solutions
  • Proactive mindset to plan ahead and avoid problems before they occur
  • Flexible and well structured, yet able to work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel, working out of Tillberga / Västerås
