The Commercial Project Management Intern will support the commercial project team in planning, executing, and tracking projects that impact revenue, customer delivery, and business efficiency. This role provides hands-on experience across project coordination, financial tracking, contract management, and stakeholder communication. This internship is intended as a pipeline to a full-time role. Interns who demonstrate strong performance and are within one year of completing their degree at the conclusion of the internship may be considered for a full-time position, subject to business needs and available openings. This internship does not constitute a guarantee of future employment.
** This summer internship will begin on May 11 and end on August 14, 2026 with potential to extend. **
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
• Assist in planning and scheduling project activities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and track action items.
• Support documentation efforts including project plans, reports, and presentations.
Financial & Contract Support
• Help track project budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
• Support invoice processing, purchase orders, and vendor coordination.
• Assist with contract reviews, change order documentation, and risk logs.
Reporting & Analysis
• Update project dashboards and performance trackers.
• Analyze project data and assist in preparing status updates for stakeholders.
• Maintain organized documentation in project management systems (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Excel).
Stakeholder Communication
• Assist in communicating with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Support coordination between operations, finance, procurement, and legal departments.
• Help prepare client-facing materials and presentations.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with MS Project or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with an interest in project and financial management.
• Must be located in Salt Lake City, UT (or surrounding area). Relocation is not provided.
