Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Organisational
• Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems, both investigation and rectification across a 24/7 roster
• Produce high quality reporting in relation to all manner of anomalies, both at system and component level, within the business Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Understand reports, recommendations and investigations that may impact the safe and cost effective operation to both Stadler and its stakeholders
• Produce quality non-technical and technical reports relating to both production and technical performance utilizing various analytical methods.
• Provide coaching and guidance to other people within the business
• If required provide mentoring to identified individuals
• Provide off-site support, across the network
• Where required undertake component replacement
• Understand and interpret legislation and standards relating to people & product health and safety, production, technical and general transport matter
• Demonstrate a passion for continual improvement, self-improvement, system & process improvements, operational excellence and end user experience
• If required represent function/project in relation to best practice
• Undertake or support any activity that capabilities permit
• Manage train handover and handback with operator
• Support all parts of the business

What are we looking for?
Essential• Proven experience in a large engineering environment with a focus on technical, through-life support.
• Proven experience of supporting a production team, ideally as a Maintenance Technician 2
• Knowledge of proactive and preventative maintenance activities with a large multi-disciplined transport fleet
• Experience in an operational transport and production environment
• Knowledge and experience in modern technical systems and fault finding techniques.
• Knowledge and experience in conducting and professionally documenting findings to a minimum of cause level in both technical and non-technical investigations.
Desirable
• Knowledge and understanding of the railway system
• Knowledge, experience and understanding of risk and safety in the workplace, within a transport environment and from a production perspective
• Clear understanding of the principles of technical systems and techniques and the interaction between these systems
• Served a recognised craft or technical apprenticeship in an appropriate subject matter (desirable)
• Ideally qualified to/working towards HNC or equivalent standard in an appropriate subject matter including diverse evidence route
