Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler, Switzerland. SRS UK provides a train maintenance service for a growing number of clients in the UK. In the next few years over 100 new Stadler trains will be joining the English railway network which signifies the start of an exciting future for Stadler in the UK.

We have created this new role within the performance team which will be based at Norwich, the role is to offer the customer technical advice and support issue recording on a 24/7 basis. We are looking for people with an eye for detail and an investigative nature to challenge the norm.

3 x Remote Performance Support Managers

Your tasks

•Responsible for managing those elements of the safety management system allocated to the
•Engineering Directorate for the safe operation of rolling stock and associated projects.
•Responsible for carrying out duties and ensuring procedures are in place to meet legislative and company standards requirements for the Engineering Directorate functions.
•Based within a remote Control Room environment to manage the communications to the operator to promote safe, reliable and efficient in service diagnostics and fault recording.
•Actively searching for pre reported fault conditions and review of incidents for precursors to or warning signs of imminent failure.
•Review of preventative maintenance for faults and failures
•Use of remote telemetry and analytical systems available including RDS and OTMR
•Create reports of incidents and where possible root cause incident prior to arrival on depot
Your profile

•Recognised Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship
•HNC mechanical and/or electrical or the equivalent
•Abe to carry out fault diagnosis remotely
•Have an excellent understanding of electro-mechanical equipment
•Experience of working with voltages of 110Vdc/415Ac/25kV
•Able to carry out theoretical fault investigations
•Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings
•Positive and flexible approach to work completion
•Excellent communication skills
•High Standard of record keeping
•Investigative and calm nature to approach problems logically
•Work productively as part of a team
•Knowledge of Health & Safety and the operational railway standards
•Able to meet the demands of shift working
•Understanding the principles of network control systems
•Meet the required medical standard

•Experience of working in a safety critical environment
•Experience of Railway engineering
•Experience of working in a high demanding, fluctuating environment
•Flexible approach to working overtime
•Experience of working as part of a multi skilled team
•Good working knowledge of Railway Rules and Regulations
