HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
- Shape and evolve the network reference architecture for Stadler's CBTC and Interlocking solutions, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable communication infrastructures.
- Drive innovation and architectural improvements across wired and wireless networking, virtualization, network automation, and cybersecurity domains.
- Lead and support system integration, testing, and validation activities to ensure compliance with operational and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams worldwide to tailor and implement reference architectures for customer-specific deployments.
- Act as a technical expert for network-related troubleshooting and operational support.
- Contribute to supplier assessment, technology evaluation, and strategic vendor selection activities.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline, with a strong focus on wired networking technologies (Layer 2 and Layer 3).
- Solid expertise in network troubleshooting, communication systems, and modern networking principles, practices, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), firewalls, network management systems, and network configuration and administration.
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies (Wi-Fi, LTE, and 5G); experience in radio design and planning is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages, such as Ansible and Python, to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
