HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
As an Electrical Powertrain Engineer, you will be a viable member of a team focused on building high-quality, state-of-the-art passenger trains.
Key Activities
• Conceptual design and layout of the electrical drive systems in passenger rail vehicles (covering the following topics: power electronics, transformer, motor, energy storage, pantograph)
• Design, development, and create and refine propulsion system designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
• Test, analyze, and conduct tests on propulsion systems to evaluate performance, reliability, and safety. Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement.
• Calculations and simulations regarding energy consumption and trip duration of our vehicles.
• Support with simulations for the preparation of offers and tenders and new project bids.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in propulsion technology and apply innovative solutions to enhance system performance.
• Manage propulsion system projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to integrate propulsion systems with overall vehicle designs. Including software creation, installation planning, mechanical engineering, purchasing, etc.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and documentation for propulsion systems and related components.
• Ensure all propulsion systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
