Your tasks
As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you will be a viable member of a team focused on creating highly efficient design plans for building state-of-the-art passenger trains.
Key Activities
• Design and integrate mechanical components for electrical enclosures, cabinets, cable ducts, and harnesses
• Develop wiring overviews based on system functional diagrams and electrical schematics
• Generate concepts, specifications, and other relevant technical documentation as needed
• Adhere to project schedules and budgetary constraints
• Provide support to Procurement, Production, and Commissioning departments
• Analyze and incorporate local, federal, and customer requirements into the system design
• Take ownership for the design, documentation, and performance of sub-systems
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) for various systems as needed
• Integrate electrical systems into vehicles
• Technical coordination with other disciplines, including installation planning, mechanical engineering, fire protection, car body engineering, etc.
Your profile
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering• 0-2 years of relevant experience in industries such as railway, defense, automotive, aerospace, or similar
• Organized approach to managing the integration of multiple projects, conducting testing, and preparing all associated deliverables within the system
• Proficiency in electrical/mechanical CAD design (e.g. Catia V5)
• Ability to interpret and implement electrical schematics is a plus
• Experience with schematic software (e.g., Zuken E3 or Ruplan) is a plus
• Experience with PLM and ECN systems (e.g., SmarTeam)
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
• Effective problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player capable of working with cross-functional teams
• Business fluent in English; any level of proficiency in German is a plus
