Leading the technical team for development of Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) system together with the role of architect
Creation of concepts, architecture and design description for ATS (Automatic Train Supervision) subsystem
Preparation and review of the requirements and specifications of the system/subsystems/HW/ SW/ interfaces with focus on the ATS systems
Selection and management of partners and suppliers
Comparison of concepts with market needs and available technologies
Integration of ATS with other subsystems
Specifications and management of validation and certification for ATS systems
Working knowledge of Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) systems will be an advantage
Planning and management of internal engineering activities in the project
Quality assurance of the engineering documents
Responsibility for milestone compliance
Communication and acceptance with customers and authorities as well as other internal and external bodies
Product launch and validation of requirements
Completed studies as mechanical engineer, electrical engineer or equivalent training
Has lead developments earlier, experience in railway will be an advantage
Knowledge of CBTC standards like IEEE, UNISIG and EN and safety standards (EN 50126,128,129).
System and subsystem level knowledge of CBTC or other metro railway signaling systems
Experience in development of software algorithms and object oriented programming (OOP) in Java
Experience with Agile Development methods and iterative approach
Targeted, structured and entrepreneurial thinking and acting
Team player with a high degree of social skills, a sense of responsibility and assertiveness
Dynamic and loyal personality
Very good knowledge of German and English, other languages as an advantage
