Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler, Switzerland. SRS UK provides a train maintenance service for a growing number of clients in the UK. In the next few years over 100 new Stadler trains will be joining the English railway network which signifies the start of an exciting future for Stadler in the UK.
At our Canton Depot site in Cardiff, we are looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice. The role will report into the Fleet Manager and the successful candidate will carry out a wide variety of administrative duties across the various different departments. This role reports to the Fleet Manager at the Canton Depot and will work closely with the onsite HR Assistant and other managers within the depot.
Please be aware that this role will be based in an office within a working, rolling stock depot.
Business Administration Apprentice
Your role will focus on the administration of Stadler's time and attendance system, Calitime. You will be required to input overtime and absences into the system and extracting data from the system for reporting purposes.
There will be a number of administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, document disposal and ensuring documents are signed in a timely manner.
You will support with the administrative tasks associated with site visitors such as meeting and greeting, ensuring the visitor is signed in and out of the site and the issue and return of visitor badges.
The role involves providing administrative support to the management team onsite, including but not limited to taking minutes, typing up agendas and sending meeting invitations.
The successful candidate will be supported through the completion of their Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship. In recognition of this, 20% of your working week will be allocated to attending college and working on your assignments as required by the course.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and oral.
• Good word processing skills.
• Able to use Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• GCSE A-C in both English and Maths.
