An Order Management Specialist oversees order volume, updates MRP system information and follows up with suppliers to maintain material availability. If you are an Order Specialist who wants to be part of a team that builds high quality, state of the art passenger trains, this is your career.

Order Management Specialist

Your tasks
  • Managing open order volume to ensure supplier delivery performance to meet production demands
  • Lead updates of delivery ETAs in the MRP system, including missing/materialization parts list
  • Engage across departments to ensure completion of open items (MPL and Open Order schedules)
  • Schedule supplier meetings to ensure up to date ETAs and Stadler US standards
  • Own the management of open POs once buyer receives initial order confirmation
  • Own the inventory level per commodity, project and/or supplier
  • Work with Non-conformance team to manage open NCRs that are with suppliers for Supplier Corrective Action Requirements (S-CAR)
  • Own NCR PO performance as it relates material availability for the production schedule
  • Leverage Supplier Development to develop improvement plans for supplier and alternative sourcing ideas "Flop List"
  • Report individual and team performance to executive management for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Order Management performance reviews
  • Other duties less defined in scope relating to material availability to production and external demands
Your profile
  • AA or AS degree preferred
  • Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems, INFOR preferred
  • 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience in a "pull/kanban" environment preferred
  • Experience using SAP BI is a plus
